Gavin Update
Thank you all for your prayers! Gavin is hanging in there after trying to get blood (to no avail) last night they put in an I.V., he woke up every 2 hrs last night. This morning they were not allowed to feed them as they had scheduled an ultrasound of his head and an Upper G.I. with follow through scheduled for 1pm. He finally got that finished around 4pm and they put in an NG feeding tube that took 3 attempts around 5:00 and he is asleep now. They will start his feeding around 6pm.

Finally FINALLY FINALLY!!!!
They are admitting Gavin to St. Joesph's today.
The other formula they put him on gave him diarrhea, and switched his formula to a highly basic formula with nothing in it and he was vomiting still and not keeping it down. So after three months of this baby suffering and loosing weight they are going to finally run more tests.
Will let you all know when he is admitted and we find anything out.

Playing the waiting game
First thank you for your comments & suggestions regarding Gavin.
The formula the G.I. doctor switched him to this weekend did not help while I had him Saturday & apparently that didn't change on Sunday.
So another phone call or three to let them know and the kids are still waiting for them to call back.
I will try to get the photos from Saturdays Hooking Class updated here tomorrow.
Today I had grand intentions of more cleaning *UGH* stripped the linens to wash and left at 11 am, after a half a dozen phone calls & conversations, running errands and took up 5 hours of the day. Returned home with the last few items I need to finish the pre-Thanksgiving prep in time for a quick photo shoot in the back yard of our neighbors & their pups....Bogie & Birdie.
It seems, according to Jan, we have the only evergreen tree in the area....lol
Now I have to finish up a few things & grade school papers.

Completely frustrated to say the least
It is 7pm and little Gavin is finally asleep. Poor baby had a screaming fit for over an hour this afternoon & nothing would make him stop. He is still not keeping his food down & the doctors, with all their education, have me baffled & infuriated.
This baby has been vomiting, NOT spitting up, but vomiting for almost 3 months. They have switched his formula to soy, given him medication for an adult with acid reflux, ran an upper gi, then finally an ultrasound, drew blood to check some levels, ran a urinalysis, and put him on previcid....
Not once has anyone ran a blood allergy test to see if he is allergic to the formulas he has been on, is this too off the wall?
Am I the only one that thinks this should have been done months ago....before the upper gi test?
It is killing me to see this otherwise healthy, strong, alert child basically starving because he vomits up most of what he drinks.
Three different doctors and not one of them thought to rule out an allergy first. Does anyone have House's telephone number?
Please pray for these educated men that one of them would get a clue & find out what is wrong.
Blessings 2 U friend

What is the learning curve for us old folks?
I tried to add a pop out slideshow so that you didn't have to scroll down through all the photo's but it is not co-operating.
Since we have to get to piano lessons & do a couple errands shortly the best I could do is add this slideshow of the group events.
I have the hike & wildlife photos ready to load so maybe I can get them to work properly later tonight after I finish making the tags for tomorrows class....:-)
I hope you enjoy the slideshow.
Blessings 2 U Friends!

Some wonderful photo highlights
It really is a challenge using an outdated program to edit photos to this blog so I emailed them all back to my desktop & ask that you forgive any discolorations or less than sharp images as iphoto is still not working on this machine...despite my attempts to restore it from a previous version....UGH
The Birthday Boy
Sahara's turn
Now Larry
Hey don't run over my dogs or kids (Peter's bus)
The Newsboys
Sunday Morning looking over the Pasture/Parking lot
Time to leave & head home
Last weekend was a company campout at Hillsborough River State Park
I was completely impressed by the beauty and took over 300 photos....
don't worry I won't post them all here!
Our campsite backed up to the river & the Turkey Buzzard night time roosting tree.
I still haven't learned to mobile blog so I just updated my Facebook Status for family & friends.
Otis & I hiked 4 miles early Saturday Morning before everyone else woke up, we saw King Fishers & Herons.
Then we fed the squirrels breakfast
Later at the cookout/party
Lots of GOOD food and fun!
We sat around the fire that night and cooked more desserts and chatted!
Will post a few more of the critters I saw *More than my 10 years here* and some photos, from Sundays hike & Mondays Canoe trip.
Got to run & get ready for Community Group tonight we are still in the Financial Peace classes.

Journeyfest...weekend update
We arrived in Brooksville around 5:30 and set up camp, there were only a few other campers already there & a youth group with their tents set up. We pulled in right across the roadway from the Encore Stage (Pavilion) which would be used Saturday.
Friday Night was all Hardcore Metal Bands...seems odd to think Christian Heavy Metal or Screamo as some call it.
We could hear them all just find from our campsite and let Tyler go hang out down in the Main Stage Area...We roasted Marshmallows & played 500 Rummy with Sahara. Tyler rolled back in at 10pm to watch Numbers and play cards with us until Midnight when the music finished.
Saturday I was up early, 4:30am to take the dogs out. Thankfully they all went back to sleep until 8am when we all started the day. We had omelets cooked over the fire then set out to see the vendors & the main stage with Otis, Emma & Casper.
Sahara & I stopped to talk to a young girl who was sitting on a tree drawing...she wanted to pet the dogs. Grethel & Sahara became fast friends & were inseparable the rest of the weekend. Her mother & stepbrother were vending one of the food stands.
Tyler decided on a T-shirt & hat from one of the booths called Remnant Gear where Joel Betancourt & Omar De Pablo have their amazing designed clothing and Joels C.D.'s for sale. I will put their links on the side, be sure to check them out!
More on the rest of the day tomorrow.
Blessings 2 U friends!
