A LONG WEEKEND....

Which started Friday at 9am loaded up the kids & drove to the Florida State Fairgrounds to set up for CELEBRATE TAMPA.
until 2pm then drove electric cart until 3pm helping consultants in with their boxes & carts of supplies.
Left at 3:15 to pick up Gavin and babysat until 12:30 am got up at 6:30 and headed back to the fairgrounds for the event.

This is Saturday Morning at 9am 1100 women working on their albums



Here is my group of Ladies!


At 3pm they play YMCA and everyone gets up to sing & dance...except my rowdy group they get on their chairs to sing & dance...this started at Celebrate Orlando a few years ago... we were missing one of our regular gals Ann who had foot surgery, she is usually up here with the gals




At 8pm we hauled my inventory out front down the way to my car & then I came back in to work with my dh
helping drive the carts loading the consultants with their supplies up to head home.

The kids chipped in helping Melanie, Julie & Rene, anyway they could. See these ladies travel the country putting on these events for us and they haul all the pages, decorations, tools etc to each town. CRAZY but we love them for it!

Friday Free for ALL

I can't believe just how fast this year is flying by already...can you?
This morning was another trip to the Vet with our dear old man Calvin...
after we got home from Grandma's funeral he seemed a little lighter than normal
then the following week I was at the shop working & didn't notice much after getting home each night.
Wednesday Night I picked him up and felt nothing but bones so I called Dr. Mac Thursday Morning and we took him in this morning.
Poor baby has lost 3 lbs in the last 2 months and is about 6 lbs which is half of what he weighed last January.
So after X-raying his bladder for stones again we drew blood and urine...definitely a bladder infection again so he is back on antibiotics *he & Sahara for her tick bite* His blood serum was a dark yellow so we are having a complete blood work done up and should have the results back in the morning......Please pray it is something we can cure simply & easily!!


He has been a member of our family for more than 13 yrs and I don't know if we are able to handle another family loss right now.

Spring Showers

April is supposed to be the DRYEST month of the year here in Florida. So far it has rained every day!
Today would be the perfect day to sit on the lanai & hook.... but alas I spent the entire day spring cleaning...
not my house but the PRHG Ebay Group Boards. Today Julie & I are going to be working on the blog.
Then I really need to CLEAN my house.

My bed is made though and according to Queen Sherry I will walk 4 miles this year just making my bed...woo hoo

Hubby dear was gone at the Punta Gorda air show Friday & Saturday...he looks like a tourist since he forgot he works in an office and has NO base tan therefore he should have used sunscreen BEFORE he got burned. He has packing to do & tax filing to finish before he leaves again tomorrow for Chicago. My pack mule will be taking a Large box of misc. items up to my girlfriend Cheri (wife #2) and bringing back the goodies he left without the last time he was there in December.

Sorry no photo's for now, I am on the laptop & all my photos are on the desktop or phone ....maybe after the Lightening subsides I can upload a beautful glass window in our current sanctuary that I think would make a stunning rug pattern.

BIG REVEAL COMING SOON.....

My dear friend & Leader of the Primitive Rug Hooking Group, Betty & I have been working hard on bringing the EBAY PRHG Group into compliance with their guidelines & policies. With the help of Julie, Deirdre & The Queen we have been deleting THOUSANDS of links to outside (of ebay) sites & blogs. These wonderful ladies have spent hours upon hours deleting links/posts & threads that go back to the groups inception back in early 2006.

Just imagine over 150 women posting numerous times daily to each other, asking questions, building friendships, sharpening their Hooking Skills, from all over the United States & Canada.
That should give you an inkling of how many posts they have gone through to clean up the group so as not to have it closed down and to keep these women together.
This time, by the way has been completely VOLUNTEERED. This is the love for the art and the group as a whole that has kept us going to make sure the group does not close.

On top of all that we have been trying to make sure things run smoothly & make it clear that we all were in violation of the policies, and even though it was allowed and not corrected by the previous leader or moderators with all the changes happening on Ebay it needed to be fixed now before people were caught and possibly suspended or removed.

I can not tell you how proud I am of Betty, Julie, Deirdre & The Queen (Sherry) for their dedication & selflessness!
Thank you to Doris who started a list of members information last fall, and to the 40 or 50 members who updated & added their information to that list. We now have a way to contact them should something happen to the group board...
Thank you to all the members who didn't feel they were 'singled' out and willingly removed their links/banners & website information from their signature files!
My friends you will be rewarded for your cooperative spirit.....
